To achieve energy autonomy and combat rising utility costs, the Toula Municipality in Koura, Lebanon partnered with Sustainable Energy Partners to install a 100 kWp grid-tied solar PV system. This municipal setup optimizes daytime solar production to reduce public grid reliance and stabilize local civic infrastructure expenses.

Operational Challenges & Logistics

Installing the system within a municipal property involved strict spatial limits. SEP utilized an elevated structure layout for the 100 kWp array to maintain usable ground-level utility access, completing the framework safely without disrupting municipal operations.

System Performance & Sustainability Impact

Commissioning this solar asset brought immediate relief from conventional utility costs in the Koura region by lowering daily public grid consumption. The installation achieves an environmental offset of 187 tons of carbon emission savings annually, setting a strong regional precedent for municipal sustainability.
